Ventura County
The practice’s office in West Hills sits just east of the Ventura County line, so patients from Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Moorpark and Newbury Park are a short drive away. The focus is dental sleep medicine — oral appliance therapy for obstructive sleep apnea and snoring — followed by TMJ/TMD and other orofacial pain.
Care is provided by Dr. Mohammad Masudian, DDS, MPH, a Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine who completed a CODA-accredited certificate program in orofacial pain at the University of Southern California.
Working with your Ventura County physicians
Sleep apnea is diagnosed by a physician. If your sleep study was ordered by a physician in Ventura County, that physician remains in charge of the diagnosis; the practice provides the oral appliance, sends written updates, and coordinates follow-up testing with them. Bringing a copy of your sleep study to the first visit avoids delays.
Jaw pain and TMD
Pain in the jaw muscles or joint, clicking that has become painful, and episodes of locking are evaluated with a structured examination. Management starts with conservative, reversible options such as oral appliances, physical medicine and medication.
What we see
Sleep apnea and snoring
Custom oral appliances for adults diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea, including patients who cannot tolerate CPAP. See oral appliance therapy.
TMJ and TMD pain
Jaw pain, clicking, catching, locking and limited opening, managed conservatively first. See TMJ disorders.
Facial and nerve pain
Burning, electric or shooting facial pain, including trigeminal neuralgia. See neuropathic facial pain.
Ventura County areas
From western Ventura County (Camarillo is about 23 miles away, Oxnard about 31 and Ventura about 38), the first evaluation is the longest visit; follow-up appliance adjustments are brief.
